Cottage-side fixes done right, with the same crew that builds for our larger clients.
Small jobs are the hardest thing to get done in Huntsville, and everyone here knows it. The trades are busy with large builds, the call-out from another town does not make sense for two hours of work, and a lot of homeowners end up waiting a season for something that takes an afternoon.
We are based in town, which is the only reason a short repair visit works economically. Rot at a door sill, a deck board that has gone soft, a failing bathroom fan, storm damage on fascia, a sticking window, chimney flashing after an ice dam: these are the calls we take between larger projects, and being ten minutes away rather than forty is what makes the scheduling possible.
Most repair work does not need a permit. Structural repairs, changes to plumbing and electrical, and anything that alters the building do, through the Town of Huntsville building department, and we will tell you plainly which category your job falls into before we start rather than after the invoice.
Carpentry-side repairs are our wheelhouse: stuck doors and windows, rotted trim, loose railings, busted stairs, drywall patching, hardware swaps, dock board replacements, deck repairs, fascia and soffit fixes, exterior trim and weatherboard, fence repairs, and storm or ice damage triage. One truck, a dedicated project manager, parts on board.
Furnaces, panels, fixtures, drain work, ductwork, mini-splits: all handled under one contract with one PM. We don't do emergency dispatch for mechanical, so if a furnace dies in January or a pipe lets go on a long weekend, call your utility or a 24/7 emergency line first. We take over the proper repair after the immediate risk is handled so you still get one invoice and one point of accountability.
For the carpentry-side things that ruin a weekend (a smashed door, a broken stair, storm-damaged dock boards, a sagging gate, a leaking fixture we installed), we run a 48-hour response window May through October across the Muskoka region. Outside peak season we book within the week.
Booked in half-day or full-day blocks. We bring a prioritized list, work top-to-bottom, photograph before and after, and leave a written log so you know exactly what got done and what was deferred.

Real projects, real progress shots. Tap through for the full story on any of them.
Yes, and being based in town is what makes that possible. We schedule repair work around active projects, so it is usually a matter of days rather than months. If the job is genuinely better suited to a specialist, we will say so and point you at the right trade instead of taking the work.
Hourly plus materials for open-ended diagnostic work, or a fixed price when the scope is clear after we have seen it. We tell you which one applies before we start, and we do not bill travel inside Huntsville.
Yes. Ice dam damage, fascia and soffit, torn flashing, and wind-damaged siding are common calls here after a hard winter. We can document the damage with photos and a written scope for an insurance claim, which is often what the adjuster needs before anything moves.
We handle the building side: rot repairs, deck and dock hardware, door and window adjustment, trim and siding, and the punch list that surfaces the week a cottage opens. We are not a caretaking service, so we do not do water systems, docks-in and docks-out, or ongoing property management.
There is a minimum visit, because getting a truck and a carpenter to your door has a real cost. If you have three small things, group them into one visit. That is genuinely the cheapest way to use us.
Year-round. Huntsville has a strong four-season community, and we run interior renovations and new-build framing through the winter with the right protection in place. Only certain exterior masonry and concrete pours get seasonal scheduling.
Peninsula Lake, Fairy Lake, Mary Lake, Vernon Lake, and the north end of Lake of Bays, including properties out toward Hidden Valley and the Algonquin Park corridor.

Walk the site with us. We follow up with a fixed-price proposal, usually within two weeks.

What we check every spring when opening Muskoka cottages: frost heave, roof damage, foundation cracks, shoreline shifts, and plumbing before turning the water back on.

An existing Muskoka boathouse is often more valuable than a permit for a new one. Repair, rebuild, or something in between: here is how we assess it.
