Self-performed fieldstone, granite, and natural-veneer masonry.
Stone is what we started with. Our crew sets fieldstone, granite, and natural veneer for chimneys, walls, patios, and full exterior cladding across Muskoka.
In Gravenhurst that work looks specific. Gravenhurst is the south gateway to Muskoka and one of the busiest lakefront markets in the district. We renovate older cottages and build new from Sparrow Lake up to Lake Muskoka.
Practically, it means we scope masonry & stonework around Lake Muskoka, Gull Lake, Kahshe Lake access, the shoreline setbacks that apply to your lot, and a build window that fits the season. Permits and inspections go through the Town of Gravenhurst building department, and we file them as part of the contract rather than leaving the paperwork with you.
Every wall is hand-laid by our masons, not subbed to a rotating crew. The same hands that build the chimney also point the joints.
Fieldstone walked from local farms, granite from quarries we visit personally. You pick the pile before it ever leaves the yard.
Backed walls, weeped cavities, flashed transitions, and breathable mortars chosen so freeze-thaw cycles don't crack the joints in five seasons.
Lime-mortar repointing on legacy chimneys, salvage and re-set of original fieldstone, and color-matched repair so new work disappears into old.

Yes. Gravenhurst is inside our regular service area and we run masonry & stonework projects on Lake Muskoka and Gull Lake through the season. We are based in Muskoka, so site visits, warranty callbacks, and supplier runs do not carry travel surcharges from out of district.
Structural work, additions, most decks, shoreline structures, and new plumbing or electrical need a permit from the Town of Gravenhurst building department. Cosmetic finishes usually do not. We confirm the requirement during the site visit and handle the application, drawings, and inspection scheduling under the same contract.
Local granite and Canadian Shield fieldstone. Both shrug off freeze-thaw and salt spray from the lake.
Send us the project details and we book a site walk in Gravenhurst, take measurements and photos, then send a fixed-price written proposal with the scope, allowances, and payment schedule laid out line by line. There is no charge for the visit or the quote.
Constantly. Many Gravenhurst properties are 1950s to 1980s builds where the structure is sound but the systems, insulation, and layout are dated. We handle everything from selective updates to full gut renovations with structural changes.
Lake Muskoka's south shore, Gull Lake, Kahshe Lake, Sparrow Lake, and the surrounding rural roads down toward the Severn.

Walk the site with us. We follow up with a fixed-price proposal, usually within two weeks.
